Fast optical arc detection device with up to 6 optical probes and trip output without intentional delay.
ZELK-2 detects electric arcs in switchgear and activates the circuit breaker without intentional delay. Optical arc detection and a static trip element give a very short operating delay compared with the breaker opening time, helping detect the arc at its earliest stage and reduce possible damage in the installation.
The static trip element provides an operating delay below 1 ms.
Probes are installed in optically separated switchgear compartments and aimed at possible arc locations.
A numeric display shows and stores the number of the probe that detected the arc.
Loss of supply and protection operation are signalled remotely with one or two signalling relays, depending on the selected version.
In selective systems it can operate with the SM current module, IM trip module and breaker-failure protection module.
Compact housing for mounting on a DIN EN 50022-35 rail or on a wall.
