Fault Indicator IK-10
Fault indicator for local and remote supervision of earth and short-circuit faults in cable substations, up to 4 feeders.
The microprocessor-based IK-10 fault indicator uses SS-10 and SS-20 current sensors to supervise MV feeder bays in 10(20)/0.4 kV cable substations. It registers the fault before protection trips, indicates fault type and location locally by LEDs, and supports the external SL-10 signal lamp and remote communication.

Up to four feeders
One IK-10 can supervise up to 4 feeders and detect earth and short-circuit faults per feeder.

Two Io measurement arrangements
Arrangement A uses three SS-10 sensors for Io >= 20 A, while arrangement B combines SS-10 and SS-20 for Io >= 5 A.

Local and external indication
Eight device LEDs and the optional SL-10 signal lamp enable quick fault recognition.

Remote supervision
Connection to UST-10Gc, GSM/GPRS or radio modem enables economical remote fault supervision and network reconfiguration.

Uninterruptible supply
A connected VRLA battery can provide the device with its own uninterruptible supply.
