The MT-50 measuring terminal is a modular power quality monitor for measurement, monitoring, recording and analysis of electrical quantities in the most demanding generation, distribution and transmission systems. Fast sampling lets the processor compute true RMS values of currents, voltages, powers, energies, power factor and frequency, and analyse power quality in accordance with EN 50160 and IEC 61000-4-30 Class A (Ed.2 and Ed.3).

  • Power quality – Class A

    Power quality analysis per EN 50160 and IEC 61000-4-30 Class A (Ed.2 & Ed.3): harmonics up to the 63rd, THD, voltage dips and swells, flicker, unbalance and RVC.

  • True RMS measurement

    Fast sampling (1024 samples/cycle, 24-bit A/D) computing true RMS currents, voltages, powers, energies, power factor and frequency.

  • Energy metering by tariff

    Active and reactive energy (EP, EQ) metering by tariff and total (up to four tariffs), plus peak, average and minimum values with time stamping.

  • Recording & storage

    Recording of measured quantities and transients (COMTRADE) with storage on an SD card up to 16 GB.

  • Communication & Web server

    10/100 Ethernet, three RS-232/RS-485 ports, optional optical link and a built-in Web server; MODBUS RTU/TCP, IEC 60870-5-101/103/104, IEC 61850 and DLMS (options).

  • Monitoring & control

    Programmable digital (8/16) and analog (4/16; 4–20 mA, 0–10 V) inputs and outputs, and a 5.7" colour LCD display.
