The IO-3/8/12 modular input/output units are used for cost-effective remote supervision, control and local signalling in distribution and industrial substations and renewable-energy connection points. Their modularity supports new installations and upgrades of existing ones, while connection to superior IEDs is provided through Ethernet I/O BUS and IEC 61850 GOOSE messages.

IO-3, IO-8 and IO-12 cover different installation sizes and signal counts.
DI, DO and AI modules

DI-16, DI-16S, DO-8, DO-8S and AI-4/8 modules are supported.
Local signalling

DI-16S and DO-8S versions are used when local input/output activity signalling and labels are needed.
Ethernet I/O BUS

IO units communicate with each other and with the IED through GOOSE messages.
COM module with two Ethernet ports

The communication module links IO units together and connects them to the superior IED.
DT DIALOG configuration

Configuration and parametrisation are performed with DT DIALOG software.
